The ring is very plain yet elegant- I love it! The only thing is that I thought the stone would be a little darker. The tint is so light that you can barely tell that it is green. Regardless, it feels very durable and looks attractive. Highly recommended!

Green amethyst is also known as prasiolite. Some users have complained that the green stone on this particular ring is quite pale, but that color is typical for prasiolite. The stone's name comes from Greek and means "leek colored stone". If you want a bright lime green stone with a punch of color, I suggest peridot. Or, for a deeper green, emerald.

While this is a beautiful ring, it is much smaller than the pictures would lead you to believe. The picture of the ring on the model's hand is very deceiving.....unless that hand belonged to a child. I am afraid I will be returning it.There is no such thing as green amethyst or yellow amethyst or any other color other than Amethyst. Amethyst occurs in primary hues from a light pinkish violet to a deep purple. See any gem book or Wikipedia which states "Green quartz is sometimes incorrectly called green amethyst, which is an actual misnomer and not an acceptable name for the material, the proper terminology being Prasiolite. It is actually against FTC Guidelines to call prasiolite green amethyst."
While it my be a great ring, the marketing is based on a lie. I immediately began to enjoy my purchase. It was a reasonable price and looked great on my finger.
And best of all it arrived on time. I brought this as a gift for myself and I love it. The ring is a tad bit bigger than i expected. Otherwise its beautiful and looks just as the photo does on the site. The product was shipped in a timely fashion as well. One of the small chips came out the first day I wore the ring. I did get asked a million times by friends and coworkers if it was "THE ring"- nope wrong finger! From far away or in low lighting it does look like a clear stone and it is almost impossible to tell it is green. But to be honest I dont mind. I think the ring is beautiful, and the side diamonds are very sparkly. I just received this ring and I love it. The center stone and the czs around it catch the light and really sparkle. It was a little larger than what I was expecting but not too big. The price tag attached said $139.00, so $25 is a great deal. If you can get past the color of the stone, it is a beautiful ring. You would never know it was as inexpensive as it was. The ring sizing is accurate - I normally wear a 7 3/4 and I ordered size 8. It's a little big but doesn't spin. Someone mentioned a box but mine was delivered in a green pouch.
