should i buy Sterling Silver Amber Celtic Love Knots Ring reviews

The history of amber begins about 90 millions years ago in lush green forests in the region of modern day Northern Europe. Trees in these regions produced an aromatic resin, used for protection against woodpeckers, fungus and bark-eating insects. This resin would slowly cascade covering the bark of the tree entrapping organic debris and sometimes live insects along the way. Nearly 40 different species of trees produced this protective resin, accounting for the numerous colors of amber today. Over millions of years, this golden resin produced by pre-historic trees accumulated in many layers in the soil below. With the onset of The Great Ice Age, these forests perished, the soil froze and the fossilization process began creating deposits of beautiful amber. After The Great Ice, melted glaciers flowed on top of the amber deposits, forming the Baltic and North Seas. Due to this geological occurrence, amber found its new home in the sea. The gem spent many thousands of years below 100 feet of sand at the sea bottom. After violent sea storms, various lumps of amber would separate and float among the waves, eventually reaching the shore to be discovered by man. The Aisti people were the first to pick up amber lumps along the Baltic shores 25,000 years ago. Aisti believe that amber was pieces of the Sun that had fallen down to the earth and cherished it as a gift from the heavens.
The picture does NOT do the ring justice! It came fast, boxed, in a darling pouch, certified, and with a pamphlet on how to care for this beautiful ring! The celtic knots on the band are smooth. This ring is SHINY and feels AMAZING. If you LOVE amber (this is my first amber piece of jewelry) then this is for you! I like my ring very much. When I was on vacation in the Baltic area, I couldn't decide about getting an amber ring. Afterwards, I was sorry I didn't get one so I ordered this ring. It's everything I wanted with a lovely piece of amber on a very pretty ring. I'm glad I ordered it. I love my new ring!!! I have gotten a couple compliments already!! The fit is perfect and it is very comfortable - I wear it every day. Very nice for the price! i am really impressed with this ring its quality workman ship and how unique it is..not only that the packaging was very good, and the timely shipping very good as well i give this ring 5 stars, thumbs up ! I bought this for a gift for one of my daughters. It was nice for the value but I thought the silver would be a little heavier like the one I bought for myself with the blue topaz. She liked it though so that's really all that mattered. I ordered this ring a few months ago, and I really like it. The silver is nice, and the love knot designs are clear and easy to make out. The amber is beautiful, esp for the price.

I was a little wary of it when I first got it, because it had black flakes coming from the design on the sides, and seemed like it was coming apart. I washed it a few times, like I do with all my new rings, and now it looks great! The silver shined right up, and all the black that was in the design when I first got it went away. It's not a product flaw per se, it just needed to be cleaned, which most rings do, when you first buy them. I think several other people mentioned this problem as well- give the ring a good wash like you would any other ring that needs cleaning (you can use some sort of ring cleaner if you want, but a small brush, like a tooth brush, works fine) and clean it up, and it'll look great!

It is actually a well made ring, very sturdy. I've worn mine almost daily, on my thumb, which gets a lot of abuse, and it's held up to everything so far. The amber gemstone is very secure, I'm not worried at all about it coming loose. The silver is very strong and sturdy- hasn't gotten scratched or anything yet, which is impressive for one of my rings :P

I would recommend this ring, esp for the great price (in comparison to other amber sellers). Clean it up when you first get it, and you won't be disappointed :) My mom ordered through me this ring for a gift to my aunt. Mom stated that the ring is extremely thin and small. They should announce the ring as small for teenagers or girls. We want to change this ring for a bigger one. We are not in the USA now. We did not find an option in this menu to contact the seller.
Hope we can get a reply from the seller to see if the seller can send a pre-paid postage envelope to us with a bigger ring that we could buy on line from their store and we return the small ring in a pre-paid postage envelope from this seller. No complaints at all.

Very pretty ring, the stone actually looks better in person. I really cant emphasize enough at least on the one they sent me how much prettier the stone is than it looks online.

I think the size runs a wee bit small.

The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the silver/metal is in the thin side and not as high quality as most of these types of rings are. Still, great value and I will shop at this vendor again.
